Terms of use
Last updated 7 October 2026
The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Dimitrios Daskalakis, a sole proprietorship in Greece ("we"), for your use of Say The Password on Mac and iPhone, its Safari extension and this website. By using them, you accept these terms. If you download the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licence terms also apply.
The app
Say The Password stores your two-factor authentication accounts and shows their one-time codes. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on devices you own or control. Please don't resell it, reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it to break the law.
Your master password and your data
Your accounts are encrypted with your master password, which we never receive. That means we can't recover your password or your accounts if it's lost. You're responsible for keeping your master password safe, and for keeping the backup or recovery codes each service gives you. Export an encrypted backup from time to time.
iCloud and other services
Sync relies on Apple's iCloud Drive and autofill on Safari. Those services are provided by Apple under Apple's terms, and we can't guarantee their availability.
Beta versions
Beta versions, such as builds on TestFlight, are for testing. They may contain bugs or change without notice, so keep a backup of your accounts while using one.
Warranty and liability
We work hard to make Say The Password reliable, but it's provided "as is". Two-factor codes protect access to important accounts, so always keep another way to sign in, such as the recovery codes each service provides.
If you're using the app for business, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost data, lost access to accounts, profits or business, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. If you're a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the law where you live.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Say The Password at any time: export your accounts if you want to keep them, then delete the app. We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date above and, for significant changes, mention them in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by Greek law and EU law. If you're a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts of your home country or of Greece. Business disputes are handled by the Greek courts. Questions? Email legal@saythepassword.com.
